Having a mentor in life can be a massive contributor to career success. I’ve heard that a mentor is equivalent to reading 200 books – what a time saver! Your mentor will provide you safety by protecting you from making the same mistakes as they made. They can save you time, frustration, and anxiety from the unknown. A mentor can give you priceless advice about career direction, tough moments like job interview fears and questions, or how to choose the right university for you.

There’s really no two ways about this one. We all need a mentor. I’m sure you’re thinking “Okay great, but I have no idea how to find a mentor.” It’s actually easier than you think, and these people are potentially at your fingertips. Most of us just have no idea how to do it, how to find these people. Fortunately, there are existing systems in place to help you out.

This video goes over the top three ways that you can find a trusted advisor, a coach, a mentor for your STEM journey. Enjoy!
